Our foundation was born

We want to pass on to new generations the message of sacrifice, courage and love of homeland that the soldiers fighting for freedom on the fronts of the Second World War carried in their hearts — a message that flows from the battlefields of Monte Cassino.

Following the words on the monument on Hill 593 — “For your freedom and ours” — we nurture the legacy of Monte Cassino and preserve it for the world, so that history may always be the foundation of a good future.

We believe memory lives when it is told. That is why we use storytelling, archives, testimonies and new media so the story of the “red poppies” reaches young audiences across the world.
