Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 June 2026
This policy describes how the Monte Cassino 1944 Foundation processes the data of visitors to montecassino1944.com. The site is informational — we do not run user accounts or comments.
01Data controller
The data controller is the Monte Cassino 1944 Foundation, ul. Witkiewicza 7, 96-325 Kuklówka Zarzeczna, Poland, KRS 1209639, NIP 8381892671. For data matters contact: .
02What data we process and why
Contact form. If you write to us through the form, we process the name, e-mail address and message you provide — solely to reply. The form is handled by Web3Forms, which delivers the message to our inbox.
Statistics (Google Analytics). We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It stores cookies and processes, among other things, a truncated IP address, device and browser type, and how you navigate the site. We enable statistics only after you give consent in the cookie banner.
Country detection (language selection). On your first visit to the home page we check the country based on the IP address, in order to automatically show the site in the appropriate language (Polish, English or Italian). The country is determined using ipapi.co.
Technical data (server). Our hosting provider (zenbox.pl) automatically records standard server logs (including IP address, date and time of the request), which is necessary for the operation and security of the site.
03Legal bases (GDPR)
- Replying to a form message — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), i.e. contact with the person who writes to us.
- Statistics and analytics cookies — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.
- Security and proper operation of the site (server logs) — our legitimate interest.
04Recipients of data
Data may be processed by trusted service providers acting on our behalf or as independent controllers: Web3Forms (form handling), Google (statistics), ipapi.co (country detection) and our hosting provider (zenbox.pl).
05Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some providers (e.g. Google, ipapi.co, Web3Forms) may process data outside the EEA. In such cases the transfer takes place on the basis of GDPR-compliant mechanisms (including standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions).
06Retention period
We keep messages from the form for as long as needed to handle the matter and any further correspondence. Statistical data is retained according to the Google Analytics settings. Cookie consents are stored until withdrawn or expired.
07Your rights
You have the right to: access your data, rectify it, erase or restrict its processing, object to processing, as well as to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time.
08Cookies
The site uses cookies necessary for its operation and — after consent — statistical cookies (Google Analytics). You can manage your consents at any time via the cookie banner. A detailed list of cookies is available in the “Cookie Policy” provided by the banner.
09Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data, including an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and safeguards on the server and content-management system.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, e.g. in case of changes to tools or regulations. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
